Upon my workplace being shuttered in March of 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak, I had too much time on my hands and decided to create a "little" audio journal to occupy my time. The goal was to create at least 60 seconds of music or soundscapes daily until further notice. At the time, I posted them by midnight each day to a since-deleted page on this website. This went on for 15 consecutive days and twice more over the following weeks. So herein below are the 17 tracks. #ZFG
It's been awhile. Death in the family. Crazy upheavals of all sorts. My mind and the infinite rollercoasters and elevator shafts. Lots of painting!!! Find in this video three songs. The first and third were mostly recorded in 2008. This is part of the ongoing archival remix project replacing drum machine with yours truly on the drums. Sooooo much better (if I may be so bold). The second track is a recent film score, something I have an interest in doing but am not actively pursuing.
As a temporary stopgap to appease those that were interested (until assorted remix projects were completed and new tunes fully tracked), this playlist preview of remixes and unreleased gems was created December of 2020 to savor in it's entirety. Completely. Right down to the last second, taking in each and every delicious note while many were home furloughed, burning out on virtual Zoom conferences / meetings, quarantined, or just enduring the monotony of the holidays. Enjoy the music! - BA3
5 instrumental tracks taken from or inspired by the films of the great Jim Jarmusch. This playlist is not meant to compete with the originals or improve on them (as if that's remotely possible), but is simply my personal way to say "thanks!" to J.J. for the great stories, epic characters, and fantastically rich cinema. Thank you, Jim!
For those of you familiar with Burroughs' "Thanksgiving Prayer", you'll understand the intentional misspelling. It's deliberate. Maybe one day we can have a conversation about it. :)
